I used it to provide power to my shed. I mounted it in a single gang box and used sealant on the back of the bos where it came into contact with the shed wood to prevent water from leaking into the hole I drilled for the electrical wire to enter the shed. It comes with a seal that goes between it and the gang box to prevent moisture at that point. It was easy to wire it and all I have to do is connect a normal heavy duty electrical extension cord between my house and this and I have lights and outlets in the shed for when I need to grind things.

I was relieved about the build quality and construction of this plug receptacle. It is priced pretty high (around -40). I drilled a hole in the side of my enclosed trailer and silicone and screed this plug into place. Now it’s an easy way to supply power to the inside of my trailer.

Notice that the 4-hole pattern is designed for outdoor junction boxes. It can not be mounted as a device in a typical 2-hole junction box. Very sturdy construction and easy to install.
