Overview:
When the ND-BT1 is added to the AVIC-Z1, AVIC-Z2, or AVIC-Z3, the combination offers hands-free operation of your compatible Bluetooth enabled cell phone. The adapter allows you to use the microphone (included with the Z-series head unit) to speak, and lets you listen the other party's voice through the system's speakers. The head unit automatically mutes any other audio during incoming and outgoing calls. You can transfer your phone book to the head unit, then access it by voice or the touch screen display. You can also access phone numbers associated with the POI (Points Of Interest) database, letting you call your destination while you're on the way.
Compatibility:
This Bluetooth Adapter is designed to work only with the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 or AVIC-Z2 head units, and uses Bluetooth version 1.1.
Mounting:
The ND-BT1 is small and light (about 5.25 ounces), so it's easily mounted in an out-of-the-way location. The 80" cable offers enough placement flexibility for you to find a location with optimal reception.
